Claire Van Holland

Claire Van Holland is a 50% left brain, 50% right brain split. She is equally creative as she is analytical. She has an extensive career building financial projections, budgets & analyses for corporate media. In 2011, she and her husband, Aaron, co-founded a furniture & home goods business, M.F.E.O., out of a shared love for interiors and beautiful design. After learning the operational challenges of being a small business owner, she applied her corporate finance & operational expertise to help streamline M.F.E.O. It was from this that the idea for her second business, the CV Ledger, was born. Today, Claire works closely with other creatives & design-based business owners, managing their numbers through accounting, bookkeeping, and strategic consulting, helping them make more informed decisions using their analytics.

Skills & Specialties: 

Strategic Consulting - helping a business define strategy & make informed decisions through data aggregation & analytics. This may include financial forecasting, projections and modeling.

Accounting / Bookkeeping - the management and record keeping of financial records for a business resulting in monthly financial statements (i.e. profit & loss, balance sheet). This may include historical catch-up work. 

Budget Planning - helping a business set aside cash reserves in preparation for expansion projects & upcoming expenses

Accounting software set-up & training - helping a business get properly set-up in accounting software (i.e. Quickbooks or Xero) and training on how to use the software to set up for later success!
