On Thursday evening, May 25, in the midst of a New York City downpour, we celebrated the launch of Issue 03 : New York at tenoverten’s Financial District Salon.

Before I share the details of the night, first I want to say thank you to the two talented women who planned and coordinated the entire event, Kendra and Cierra Djokovich.

I met these two incredible humans (who are twins, I might add) in October of last year, and the second we sat down to have chai lattes together at the Brentwood Country Mart I knew I would be lucky to have them involved in the magazine. They are bright, bold, hardworking, and so, so kind. I’m ever grateful for their contribution to Bossladies - and for their friendship.

And with that - on to the party.

Since our team is spread out across the country -- we span from LA to Dallas to Minneapolis -- it isn’t often that we all get to hang out in the same room and celebrate the project that we all give so much heart and energy to. Hearing them gush over each other’s work and brainstorm ideas for the next issue made me so happy - and think that maybe we need to do a Bossladies retreat someday soon. Greece, anyone?
